Its a bit of both, hills at the back of an inlet.

Thanks for this thread....I have a 85 FXWG that I lowered and I want a short fat front wheel and tire..this is great info.

BTW the scoot looks great !!!!!

Had a party last night and now have an order to do another fat and wide, this time on a wide glide.

So here's an update on the handling since the conversion...

Fitting a new Pirelli Route made a huuuuuge difference! Now that is scrubbed in and I have put enough miles on the bike to get to the "ride it like you wear it" stage I have to say that I am very pleased.

It feels way more stable at all times (except on gravel but I'm getting used to that) some of my least favourite corners are now much easier to deal with and its faster and smoother through the twisties.

Overall it feels badass and I can't stay off it

The Road Glide is my first HD with a 16" front. It has handled some road hazards that a 21" would not have been able to.
