If you have seen one marked in mm, inches, or BitCoin I would be very interested in seeing it.
Not everyone uses a plug gap tool......and not everyone works in inches (like the entire remainder of the civilised world!!! )

If you don't use a plug gap tool how do you measure plug gap?

Get yourself some NGK iridium plugs and forget it. They seem to work much better in my bike.

No.
I don't think I ever modeled clothes except for when I was a kid and mom wanted to make sure they fit.
I'm not sure if that counts though.

The thick part (the top flap) of the box the spark plug comes in is very close to .040.

First let me say I'm new to the forum and I am not a mechanic, I'm a computer guy, but I'm eager to learn. Title says it all. Starting with a little simple maintenance before I take her out for the season, going to change the spark plugs and need to know the plug gap.

Got a 1996 FLSTF, bone stock as far as I know, was told it may have been jetted (?) when the previous owner installed V&H short shots but not sure.. I've searched the forums and Google and can't get a straight answer. Hoping my fellow EVO owners can shed some light.

Thanks!
Stock jetting on these bikes will produce a lean condition resulting in "lean pop" thru the carb. Thank you EPA!!

The jets to be running with a stock cam, as a general rule, is .045 lo speed and .165 hi speed.

I don't know if they are still available but a Yost Power Tube, jets described above, and drilling out the mixture screw cover, and setting mixture is (not sure how many turns to back out after u run it all the way in) will result in an excellent carb setup
