When I set mine as described it started better, ran, better, and idled better.

If the 2 dots are centered in the window under 1500rpm, your good.

I rode this morning at 32 degrees! 64 on the way home after work though. Summer too short up here.

Well, my apologies to those of you who told me NOT to use the two dots to set the timing. I took her for the first ride since I set the timing...............

Pop! Bang! Pop, Pop bang! And that was less than 1/4 of a mile. Pulled into a parking lot and moved it back to the lines I scribed...... had a nice ride......

Going back to look for a single dot on the flywheel.

I can't friggin believe the factory shop manual was WRONG!
