Howdy,
Love the V&H shortshots look (and price), but they end right under the passenger pegs of a Soft Tail. Anybody know if shortshots will toast passenger's feet?
My second choice is the Bigshots Staggered which clear the pegs by quite a bit.
i had the short shots on my 03 fxd with no baffle. i never had any girl complain (about the heat). the exhaust really isnt that loud while on the bike either, just be prepared to ride in the back of the pack. hope this helps.
CHAD
Thanks, Chad.
I'll be installing the V&H quiet baffle no matter whch ones I get. I leave for work at 5:30 a.m and want to keep my neighbors happy. Or, at least not unhappy with me.
I have them on my Sporty, my wife and I rode 120 miles last weekend and she had no complaints other than the noise which ear plugs fixed. Maybe if I was in slow traffic it may be a problem bubt so far so good.
Thanks, David,If there's one thing everyone seems to agree on is the shorties are LOUD. Which (if any) baffles did you go with?Steve
I assume these come unbaffled? The guy at the dealer recommended these and they are on order. From what I've read here it sounds like they may be a little too loud for my liking.
G'day bikeknight, I have a set of V&H short shots staggered on my '07 Night Train. It's not often I ride any great distance without my pillion, she has never made a complaint about heat off the short shots. I reckon that due to them being pretty much nothing more than an empty pipe they don't hold the heat as a pipe full of baffles.
