Grease for mufflers?

I spray the pipe joints with WD40 it burns out quickly.

You guys are great! Thanks for the info as Ya never know I may want to pull the slip-ons off and try something else some day. I also thought I read somewhere that it might help to take one of the mufflers off for tireor axle changing? I figure to own this bike for a long time and anything you can do to make servicing easier is the sure way to go. Can't wait for the 10 to 15 horsepower--hehehe--lol!

i use CopperSeal gasket maker along with a T-bolt clamp right out on the end of the split....never a leak....tougher to get off but i got popeye arms
