Just installed a stage 2 on an 08 FLHX.
On decel the Rush full 2/1 has a really raspy, almost metallic( metal on metal) vibration noise which seems to be coming from the rear of the bike.
Checked everything including all mounting points and tip and baffle hardware.
When I put my hand over the the tip and rev for decel, the noise is very diminished(almost gone)
Is it just the normal decel note for this pipe? Anyone running it? (RUSH full system 8151-225)
Had a riding buddy with Rinehart pipes that rounded really strange on decel when riding next him. Proved to be normal.
Edit: Open K&N, and Andrews 48 h cams
Seeing as I have the same exhaust as you but on a 2014 Slim and no one else commented. I'd add an opinion on the decel sound report so to ease your worries and assure you that yes, this system lets it all hang out freely.
what I really love about it most.
could be the really long miffler? No clue, but I live it
Thanks splatttttt
Guess it isn't a popular pipe.
I'll just turn up the stereo..
Chasing noises on these bikes will drive you to drink...
Actually, that sounds good about now
Thanks splatttttt

it actually is pretty popular brand. Ostly due to its price. But what makes it really hard to pass up is the eramic coating that flows through both the internal as well as exter al of the header.

That and the price sold me..
It looks like it's well built.
Sounds as good (decel note excepted ) as thunder header systems I've run on previous bikes.
I've got some other mods to finish and then I'll play around with the FP3 and see if I can't improve the decel.
I've only seen one other full system and one Wrath on other bikes.
Lots of guys running the slip ons.
While I'm not familiar with your set-up ... I do know that earlier models of Rush Mufflers used a "one bolt baffle" which was located at/near the outlet of the muffler. The front portion of the baffler used ( basically ) an interference fit. The baffle had two slits ( longitudinally ) which contacted the muffler housing at the tapered area. If the slits were "compressed" it would lead to a rattle in the muffler. Maybe this will help.

Thanks Larry,
This pipe has two bolts securing the baffle.
Probably should pull the baffle to inspect tho.
Good tip
