Default Removing baffles from 1 3/4" straight pipes. How to ?

Near as I can tell, the pipes are generic, no name slash cut duals.
I've removed the bolt and nut, but they still won't budge. I have used hole saws in the past with good results.
I was under the impression that the nut and bolt was all that held them.
Could the carbon have them locked tight in the pipe ?

I tapped on them with a 1 1/2" hardwood dowel, but can't get them to budge.
PB Blaster and patience? Just hole saw the honey combed center out ?
Hoping you folks can and will share some knowledge.

You're on the right track. Soak them overnight with PB Blaster. Then try the dowel.

and you will wish you didn't remove them.
they say 40" drag will do well without baffles, BUT, you will induce inversion issues which you may/may not tune out.
either way, you WILL have a dip in the curve.

It's a 1995 model. Worse case scenario is to rejet the carb.
These cones will cause a certain amount of back pressure in the pipes.
There will surely be a little performance increase in upper mid /high RPM's.

I've found this to be the case on my previous scoots.

I like loud, obnoxious pipes too !🤣😂

hardie-har-har!!
you would be better off with 2" drags, wayyyyyy easier to dial in.
so you think a jet change is all that is needed?????
you probably will find that you can get low end good and not top and vise-versa.
you probably have open perf tube. do you know how they work????
all you will get is change in tone, power, NAW!!!
your so called back pressure really bad???? some systems actually need it, you just have to be able to control it.

No sir. I realize that a certain amount of back pressure is necessary. And I don't have any unreasonable expectations of pony increase.
1 3/4" staggered duals is what I have, so will stick with 'em.
If finances allow, I'd like to install a mild cam this winter coming. New bearings, adjustable rods n tappets.

Hope my posts haven't offended anyone, they surely weren't meant to.

naw, not offending anyone.
research your cam choice well. if your engine doesn't have the necessary spec, cams will hurt it. for ex: on a 74ch 9:1 pb class cams work well, but put some y cams and it will dog out being those y cams need more compression.
