Default 2003 Heritage Cams...

I have a 2003 Heritage EFI 88Bwith V&H Bigshot Longs andSE Stg 1 Intake kit. I recently saw a Deluxe that I fell in love with, for the "Sound & Shake" effect it had. I was wondering what I can do, to achieve this. I am looking for that typical Harley "Slow Lobb" sound/ gargle, and a rougher idle. I always think of a true old-school chopper, when I try to pin-point what I am looking for. I do not want the bike to shake me to death, but I do want a rougher idle. I assume, that cams are in order to achieve this, as well as a tuner of some sort. I am looking into purchasing a Power Commander, and I really don't know much about the internal workings of an engine, to know what needs to be done to get this setup. Any info would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You will not get an EFI bike to sound like a carb'd bike.

The electronics require voltage levels that can not be maintained (for long) when the idle is set much below 950~1000RPM. Some of those that "sound good" are carb'd & are idling closer to 700.

Cams will certainly change the sound & add a bit of lope, but do not exptect a potato-potato sound sound from an EFI TwinCam motor.

Do you have any suggestions for cams, and what not?

I think you can get that if you do a high compression build and go with high overlap cams. Kind of overkill just to go after a sound. New cans and head work and cams that would be around $3000 I guess?
