I'm thinking about putting in new Cams on my 07 ultra. I'm looking to get the potato potato sound back. I know FI bikes will never be like it use to be with he carbs. Sound and performance is what I'm after. Is this the wrong approach? I can probably afford the Cams. not sure which ones though. Do push rods need to be changed with them. I really don't think I know what i,m talking about

You'll never get that super low idle speed out of the EFI...it's just not set up to do that, and has nothing to do with the cams.
There are some good "bolt in" cams out there...Yuel Bros (Freedom), Zippers makes some decent ones too. Bobby Woods makes some nice cams. It's all about how much money you want to spend and where you want to be when it's finished. GMR Performance is a good source of information. The weak link on any stock motor is the head design. Cams MUST be selected around the head design and compression ratio, or you're just throwing money away, IMO.
