Doherty or K&N?
I want to open up the motor on my 97 Ultra. Going with SPOs and a free breathing air intake plus the PCIII already fitted. My question is whether it is worth spending the extra for the Doherty or to go with the K&N Stage 1. I am hoping to keep this bike for a long time so want to make it the best ride I can. Thanks for the help.

They both are very good But lookat how much cfm they flow You can call them and get the rated cfm air flow. The Dorterty power pacc is a good one. Just make sure you get the one with the most cfm flow. Like the SE air cleaner only flows about 130/135 cfm not much for big motor when you start buliding it.

i sold my k&n and bought the doherty which i like better because it isn't funneling warm air into the motor. the doherty is a nice piece quality wise, and the k&n worked good for me too.
