Important?
How important is it to have the proper torque on the spark plugs? With no access to a torque wrench, how tight do you make them?
My 2001 EG with a stage 1 kit is popping on deceleration, and from what I have gathered here is that it is running lean, and that it needs to be remapped and or dyno tuned. Is this true, and how much does that cost? Thanks, folks.

RE: Important?
I never use a torque wrench. Just tighten them down until it feels right. But I've replaced probably bazillions of spark plugs in a great variety of vehicles. It's easy for me to do by feel. If you don't have much experiance in torquing by feel, use a torque wrench the first few times.
Don't forget the anti-seize.

RE: Important?
Thanks for the reply.
I've replaced many spark plugs in my time, but have never been concerned about torque untill I bought this fuel injected Twin Cam 88. All my experience is with Shovelheads , it's been 10 years since I've worked on them, and I don't know about this new engine, so I am concerned about how much difference there is between them.
OK, how much does it cost for a remap or dyno-tune?
