Default Basic 103 build.

'07 FXDWG going to 103 with 10:1 flat tops, stock heads, Woods TW6-6, SE A/C and PCIII. I'm not sure about the head gaskets to use here. Should the .030s be used and if so can I still use the stock pushrods with this .020 difference(I believe the stock head gaskets are .050)? Any other input appreciated. Thanks.

I would go with the HD tapered ajustable rods to be on the safe side. Plus if you decide to do other changes later on you will be set.

Have almost exactly the same configuration. I use the S&S easy install pushrods, but I believe you can use the stock pr with the Cometic 0.030 as the TW6 should be set at .120-.140 preload.

Default 103" Build

You will really want to set that squeeze at 10:1.
And not to complicate a "simple" build, but a 1.900" intake valve will bring it on as well.
And as long as we are on the subject of building power, J&E offers a 3.935" piston that allows a machine shop to establish a 107" with your cylinders.
We do this all the time.
Clients are thrilled.

If I was taking the heads off... I'd either clean the ports up myself, or better yet, have them professionally ported.
