Just had V&H ovals and SE intake with race tuner and dyno work done about 3 weeks ago (600miles ago) on my 2005 Road Glide. Now the engine light comes on and off. This just started this week. It comes and goes. Any idea what causes this. Could this be caused by poor dyno work? Would this be expected due to emmisions changes due to modification i did? Thanks. First post here.
I assume you are talking about the Check Engine light. Do you know what code it is throwing? Generally if the Check Engine light is coming on periodically, and you may see it come on more when the engine is under a load, it just means that there is a code that has been set and you should have it checked out. It may be that due to the work you had done the ECU detected a slight misfire in one of the cylinders and set a code. If you clear the code it may not ever appear again.
I had a similar situation with my former Road King Classic. I had installed a Ness Big Sucker and a V&H Fuelpak. First trip I had the check engine light come on. I blamed it on the Fuelpak. Had a dealer remove the Fuelpak and remap the ECU. Still did it. What was causing it was the plugs. Shortly before I did the Big Sucker and Fuelpak I changed plugs. I put in non-Harley plugs. With these fuel injected bikes you must run Harley plugs. The ECU is so sensitive in measuring the resistance, etc. that if there is any variance it will throw a mis-fire code.
