Default Adjusting Adjustable Pushrods?

I was at the dealership recently and talking to the SM. I mentioned that I had adjustable pushrods installed when my chain tensioners were changed (by his competition) and he made a statement that I don't understand. He said "adjustable pushrods were a mistake because they have to be adjusted every 5000 miles. Should have used the stock ones or the Sure Fit." I thought about and I can't figure it out. I know some smart guys about this sort of thing (that would be you) so I thought I would bring it up. Why would a pushrod, adjusted to the correct length and locked down, need any more adjusting than the stock, non adjustable ones. "Can adjust" and "must be adjusted" isn't the same thing so I don't get it. It makes me question the logic behind it and the motivation.
I haven't checked my service manual yet, is the adjusting procedure in there or does anybody have that info.
Thanks in advance "smart guys".[&:]

I've never heard that before either---it makes no sense.

Once adjusted, they are done.

Unless.... the installer either does not properly adjust or properly tighten the lock nut.

That's what I was thinking, which brings me back to the other point, motivation![>:]

That SM is full of it....

Once they are set, they are set.....

Makes me ashamed to even think that this mutt is a SM...

I agree with Shovelhead Bob. The guy's a sales/service manager and he's seeing if he can manage to sell/service you a new set of pushrods.

Based the BS I'm going through with the so-called dealer I bought my DWGI from, I wouldn't give you twenty day old whale **** for the whole lot of HD dealers, sales managers, and their stinkin' ***** wives. [:@] [:'(] [>:]

HD is headed into the ******* with ppl like this representing them to honest, hard working ppl who simpy want to buy a quality product from a reputable motor company.
Now, if I knew you all better, I'd tell how I ****REALLY**** feel. [>:][>:][>:][>:][>:][>:][>:]
