I am looking into a different air cleaner to install on my FLHTI when I install my Rineharts. Looked into the Ness Big Sucker Stage 1, Screamin Eagle, and Kuryakyn Twin Velocity or the Hi-Five, and the Doherty Power Pacc with powervents. The Doherty is the most expensive and the Ness is the cheapest. Thanks for any input.
it really depends on what your looking for, performance? something to customize your ride? i have a screamin eagle, just me, i kinda like the stock lookin stuff
I run the Doherty on a 2003 FLHRCI with Rinehart true duals and factory 95" BB with 203 cams. Seat of the pants shows it to run real strong with plenty of passing torque at 3000-3500. Good enough for the Big Island....short passing zones and mostly twisties.
The BB kit was installed by Road and Sport of Hamilton New Zealand. They installed a map upgrade and fine tuned it with the DFO I put on it when I installed the Doherty and Rineharts. I could keep up with the Kiwis pretty well in the twisties with the Doherty and Rineharts alone, but found myself running for extended periods in the 3500-4000 range to do so. (those Kiwis are serious about their riding!)
