I started tearing my bike down for the big bore today, and it ocurred to me that I don't have pushrod tubes for reassembly. I have a set of Andrews chromoly adjustable pushrods, but I don't think I'll be able to adjust them with the stock tubes. Does anybody know the part number for the HD tubes that will fit the adjustable rods? I'd like to go by the dealer tomorrow and pick them up if they're in stock. Thanks!!
Your dealer might not sell you the tubes but they are available; don't you just love the dealer parts guys? Dealer's don't carry much inventory these days so, if I were you, I would put together a parts list and place an order with Zanottis; 20% off dealer prices and they do keep some inventory.
I don't have the PNs you need with me today but will follow up with the PNs for the tubes tomorrow. You will need clips and o-rings as well.
If you are getting ready to tackle a 95" upgrade, suggest you invest in the service and parts manuals for your bike. You won't find the PR tube PNs you need there but you will find it a lot easier to run things down if you have PNs instead of descriptions. The dealer parts guy won't know what it is but the computer will know, althought not guaranteed, if the part is in stock.
You will reuse the upper pushrod cover; just need to change the lower and keeper (clip). The dealer will not have these in stock; check but doubtful. Order from Zanottis; should run about $70 plus shipping.
