Possible that you have vapor lock?

When it quits, you open the tank, do you hear air "whoosh" ?

if you do, may need vented cap.

2.) this bike has split tanks connected by a hose, do you see equal amounts of fuel on both sides? is the level equalising through the hose?

3.) this is a carbed bike, yes? stock carb?

4.) any added fuel filter close to the cylinders ?? ( heat build up in filter, lines causing vapor lock.

5.) no change it you use reserve on petcock?

Default fuel problem

it has a stock carb and there is no added fuel filter... dont here a whoosh so dont think it is a vapour lock..what it does is after about ninety miles runs out then put it on reserve and get another twenty or so...i know there is still gas in there i should be able to go at least 180 miles on a tank as i am getting 45 to 50 miles per gallon

Well problem solved Actually the problem was my lack of knowledge about this bike I just bought When I was filling up I was only filling one side of tank as it has a crossover line between the two sides BUT the crossover line is so small that when u fill up the one side in like 30 seconds from a fuel pump there is only about a quart of gas going into the other half and I thought the whole tank was full but in reality I was only putting in half a tank full I didn't know u had to take both caps off and fill both sides.
