I can find lots of info about BB kits and cam choices, etc. but very little info on upgrades to the TB or injectors. Looking at making my 96" into a 117" and have a pretty good idea of what most of the build is to be, but not on the intake side. Keeping things stock is important like functioning cruise control and such. The motor is being built for torque not high end HP. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

If you are proposing to tune your bike to that degree contact a tuning shop and talk through the entire package of mods that will best suit your needs.
117, yep an upgrade will be in order. I would talk to HPI. There are some folks that have made the larger TBs work with cruise, so it can be done.
Quick and dirty......... I would have HPI bore out the existing TB. I think they can make it a 50mm or a bit larger. Get some 5.3 injectors. You should be ready to tune with that set-up.
Too big will kill low end response.... like a 58/62. If you buy a TB... MOCO sells a throttle cable 58, of which I have no experience... probably too big for your riding style, and HPI has a 55 or 54? THAT is decent right where you would like it. I have a 58SE DBW which is probably comparable to mid 50mm like a 54.
Torque only is a fine ideal, but a larger build will max things out quickly. I built a 107 a few years ago. Kept the stock DBW TB and injectors. Made 118/105. That 105 would have been like 115 if I had upgraded. The bike ran great, don't get me wrong, but when doing 80 on the big road (I'm a hillbilly)... one notices the horsepower being down.

I am just completing a 117" build. I used an HPI 58mm TB and manifold .I had my heads, SE 110, done by Dan Vance Racing and have a T-man 625 cam. Many other upgrades as well and right now on the dyno we are making 131 h.p. and 140 ft lbs. only going up to 4500 rpm. Torque is 110 at 2500 rpm and continues upwards!

Nice power your getting there for that 117. Gonna be a blast!

Your TB is only 46mm so a larger one would be a benefit. Don't worry in the slightest about going to the SE 58mm as I have that 58mm on my 103" and there is no lack of throttle response in any way, shape, or form.

We lean in the direction of a 58 mm, with a 62mm manifold from HPI.
They call that their Max-Flo set-up.
That has been able to establish 141/144 in our higher output 117"s.
Dyno chart is on www.woodcarbs.com dyno library.
