tw 26 cam install

Default tw 26 cam install

put in tw26 cam,used SE adj p/r,runs great, but lifters are noisy ,had adj p/r in with stock lifters,where quiet,did the 2.5 turns went 1/4 turn more,no change,are the Andrews 26 cams noisy ??,picked up comp cams lifters 875-1,will be doin the change next week,hope there quiet !!!,any feedback
would be appreciated !!

24 TPI pushrod............3.3 turns.
32 TPI pushrod............4.5 turns.
Loads the lifter to .140" which results in quiet operation even at warm temps.

Yes, lifters all have the same .200" travel; the pushrod TPI will determine the number of turns required to set preload at .140". Your pushrods, IIRC, at 32TPI.

EDIT: Bob is right; the 875-1 lifters are travel limited.

850 comp cams have 200 thou travel, 875's have substantially less due to the thicker top clip, might want to check this out before you try to load them 140 thou.

We stay with S&S lifters here, and no guess work as to plunger travel, or quality.
Makes it simple.
