Swap Exhaust on New/Used King ?
I'm picking up an '04 Road King Classic this week and it has what I believe are Rush slip-ons on it now. I don't know much about Rush other than when they rolled this bike off the showroom floor and fired it up to take it around to the service department it sounded WAY louder than the Rineharts I'm accustomed to. Not knowing much about the Rush exhaust, I was told they use fiberglass packing, and I do know you can buy and swap the baffles etc. At roughly 80 bucks for a baffle swap will that be worth not swapping the pipes out completely, yada yada yada.
Not sure there is a question in there anywhere, just interested to gather collective input.

Hey. I've got rush slip ons in my 08 fxdc. Maybe check what baffles are in em I'd say. They have 1.75" 2" & 2.25" I beleive most come with the 1.75" in them but its worth checking to see if they are bigger. If not maybe you will just have to switch them to what you want. Mine seemed very loud till I put saddlebags on, then once I was on the bike they blocked quite a bit of the sound from the back of my head. Hope that helps
