Default WLA Original Ignition Switch?

Found this the other day cleaning out a box of parts. Maybe military issue WL ignition switch? No key insert, just a push button on the side. In nice shape and appears to function like it should. Any idea what this came off?

I have never seen one that does not flip up for a key, but I guess it makes sense for military purposes.

The **** has something to do with turning on the black out lights.

Nice piece.

I had the same Switch on my WLC 1943.
I've almost finished the restauration and I had some problems finding out the correct wiring-diagram. Seems it all works now.
The army models did not have key's, I think. Very unpracticle.

Thanks for the responses. The one on ebay has the same markings on the top.... maybe a production code during WW2.
If anyone is looking for one, send me a PM.

I believe the originals had the key. GI’s would lose the key/s, so they ended up making the switch without keys.
