Default New here, like the site, yet site issues...

This is a great resource for me (a new, used, HD owner) but there are issues with either the host, or software that should be straightened out.
How in the he77 did my browsing session suddenly pop over to a toyota forum? I don't own a toyota, never owned or driven one, never visited a toy web site. Exited and shut down ie, came back still was re-directed to that site.
Another post several others cited issues that I too have when I visit here, slow loading, site does not refresh page when posting a reply, so often a double post appears.
I don't want to bi*ch about this as I like the site, yet something should be done to resolve these problems as I'd be willing to guess peope may not come here as often as they would if there were not these probs.
I realize I can change browser, use ad blocking software, etc., but come on, this is the internet and it should work with any browser and a well designed site should not have these type of goings on.
Is this something new, or inherent with the software being used?

Bob,
I see you have some of the answers in your post. Have
you looked through some of the threads in here pertaining
to what your saying? There's a lot of information on what
you can do to improve things. I'm only a member myself
and I changed things to be able to enjoy this place.
If your not willing to change, that's up to you. If you'd
like help, PM me, I'll help with what I can.
Zap

Thank you Zap for the offer. I may consult with you in the future. Has this been a long term issue on the site?
I suppose in a coy sort of way I was letting the web admins know there has to be a better way.
This is the only site I visit that has this type of issue(s).
I visit at least 4 other forums recurrently and this is the first that has these (what I percieve) problems. Really detracts from the site for me.

Well, they're aware of those that have a problem, but they're
also aware that thousand don't have all these problems. You
can read some of the threads on here and see for yourself.

Firefox and adblock ....free to do, and Google Chrome works well too with adblock, they are superior to IE in every way here at HDF... if these don't help you here or you're still having a problem.... then you have some kind of malware or other adware.. cookies..junk embeded in your computer or other problems with your computer, these are known fixes to surf the fastest you can here at HDF, we've repeated this over and over. IE is the slowest browser here if you're having problems, some with IE don't have a problem.
