On my iPad I get swamped with pop up adds for Volkswagen when on this site!
Anyone else getting annoyed enough to decide that they'll specifically make a point of never even considering a VW due to this annoying feature?
There is a thread on this subject that explains how to click on the ad-choices and click 2 links to shut off all the popup ads. I did it a month ago(?) and have not seen one on my ipad since.

Doing this gives the advertising company "Kontera" that runs these pop up ads full access to your computer to track what you do/where you go on the internet all the time, not just when you are on this forum. That's why selecting this feature tells you that it is installing a "cookie" that if cleared will cause the pop ups to start again. Your internet browsing activity is far more valuable to this company than the income they get by subjecting you to a pop up ad. Your privacy . . . your call! FYI: Kontera is a revenue source for the folks who run any web site . . . IMHO Kontera is a commercial version of the NSA!
Already a thread about this exact topic a few days ago....same answer in this thread....just get AdBlockPlus. I won't surf without it on my Windows and *nix computers, why would those imaxipad users not want the same experience? It's a FREE download for you through that istore thing.
Need 3rd option in your poll..."I don't see them"...so that us longtime users of adblockplus can vote to express our clean surfing experience on this site. "Ads? What ads? I don't see any stinkin' ads!!!"
