Default Why is my front end so low?

Check out the pics of my 97 Heritage. I bought this bike used and rebuilt it from the frame up. The front forks seemed really low. I rebuilt the forks, thinking that they would return to stock length. But, as you can see from the pics, they are still really low. I'm thinking that the previous owner must have swapped out some shorter fork tubes. Can anyone verify that for me? I've used lowering springs before in other projects and didn't see them in this fork. So, I'm baffled as to why it is so low.

Somebody either put shorter tubes on or longer cowbells with that trick light bar. Look like a stock triple tree or aftermarket ?

I think you might be right. I just looked up the stock part on JPCycles and the stock fork cover is 6-5/8". Mine are 8-1/4". That will make a big difference in making it look more like the normal ride height.

I put on the trick light bar. I'm pretty sure the triple tree is stock.

Thanks for your help!

Check the front end travel to make sure those won't hit if you bottom out hard, seen that happen.

When you rebuilt the forks, did you replace the springs?

So it is really not known yet if the front end is actually low?

Here are some pics of my `89 Heritage, the forks are OEM, same part numbers that came on your bike as OEM.

These forks have progressive springs.

The distance from the center of the front axle to the top of the fork tins is 29-15/16".

Thank you @Dan89FLSTC . Your post is very helpful. My bike is about a half inch lower than yours., I think it appears much lower because of the extra long fork covers. Have a great day!
