I have an '09 Ultra, dealer installed 103, SE stage 1 AC (but changed to K&N filter) and 3 1/2" Rineharts. Dealer flash download, stock headpipe. I want to go to the Jackpot 2/1/2 headpipe to get rid of some of this heat. I will add a PCV or other tuner at some point, but would like to do the headpipe first. Is this possible? Or will the Jackpot header flow too much to run this way. If I need to I can do the PCV first, but $$ is always the sticking point...
Thanks in advance for any input...and good job with that cam comparison thread, I know I found it pretty informative.
I would do the PCV from Fuel Moto first, I am positive it would help your heat problem. Your stock head pipe is actually good for performance.Jamie and the gang are very helpful.

The header pipe is not your problem. It's probably your tune.I would find a private Indy in your area who is fluent with the TTS Mastertune.Purchase it & have your bike tuned with it.It's the latest & greatest tuning device available for new model HD's.The same people who made the SERT for Hd makes the TTS.

Because your head pipe does not have a catalyst I would recommend the PC-V and we would have a map for your setup that would help with the heat. The stock 09 headpipe actually works pretty well and you would still have the option of adding the Jackpot 2/1/2 for some heat reduction and increased performance as well.
