After waiting two months for a local shop to try and match my CVO Arresting Red paint, which just like every other CVO, Harley refuses to share paint codes of, my body shop finally delivered.
Looks pretty good, though I dont think its a perfect match. Looks a little pinker or less orange? IDK, good enough though.
Yeah, seems a little more "milky" if that's the term I want to use, like how the newer billiard red and blue colors are. I tried to find matching side plates for my FXR in what HD calls Hard Candy Dark Ruby but found a maroon that's more purple-ish. I'm colorblind so it's close enough for me.
Yeah Im not unhappy. I actually touched up some scuffs around the seat nut using gold dupli-color base and HD red sunglow top coat. Also pretty close. Close enough for guberment work for sure
Now I’m debating on a 2:1…. Not a lot of choices for this bike, probably a Supertrapp or a Bassanni. Would like a TH but I’m getting away from ear-bleedingly loud pipes in my getting old(er) age… Supertrapp will be too quiet though. I’m not there yet lol.

Bassani is at the top of my list, and D&D fat cat a close second. I liked the Bassani on my FXDLS, nice grumble without being crazy lound.
There are actually a lot of choices when it comes to a 2-1 for an fxr. I've had a few on mine but finally ended up with a thunderheader. I had a supertrapp and Thrashin ar pipe before that.
Yeah I believe but once you do that, it loses most of its performance benefits as its designed for the closed endcap. As opposed to other pipes whos baffles are designed to be open.
