in Texas I put up most of my support 81 stuff except 1 hat
not that I am back in California and living in a popular 81 area I am not likely to be seen weard support the red and gold but I have worn other support shirts from Texas here
I am pretty much a netural guy when it comes to this as I have even seen when wearing a 3peice patch and some one who was supposed to be your brother did not back you up I must say I lost respect for some one I thought very highly of
I happen to live in an area with two of the most notorious clubs around. I have never been harrased by any of them and whish to keep it that way. Wearing a POW patch will not necessarily bring you any grief when people can plainly see what it is, but for that they will have to be pretty close to you. If you haven't been around or know about the way 1%er conduct themselves it is wise to read up on it. Bravado and ignorance are not a good mix around people you don't know, and especially around OMGs. Sometimes it's good to stand by something you are part of or believe in, but big patches (especially on your back) tend to attract lots of attention. Some times the attention is nice, other times... not so much.
About the ".45 and wear what you want" comment: There is Goverment agencies with much bigger guns out there that thread lightly around these folks I don't think it's for lack of ammo or bravado... Some stuff you just don't do if you are not ready to see it to the end... Let's face it is the mystic of the OMG that has made HD what it is today. Sometimes we can't help but want to be a little more than an enthusiast (hence the constant need for labeling of RUBS, posers, Wannabe, true biker) but to emulate some of the stuff Outlaws do emerges you in a world totally different than the one you know.
its the bottom rocker that can get you in trouble. wearing a bottom rocker claiming turf can get you killed. thats what they mean by dont wear a three piece patch
I have a question....how many of you actually run into members of large motorcycle clubs out on the road? Can ya'll name any of the clubs in your area? Around here we have Highlanders, Culsacks, and The Last Few. NONE of which are murderers, house burners, gang bangers or any of the other stuff priorly mentioned in this thread. I feel like this is under the same subject margins, so if I'm hijacking, I sure don't mean to, and apologize to the author.
I brought this up because I only know of (2) actual MCs that still are in operation, and recruit the criminal element as members (where the violence and theiving comes from).....that is the Banditos, and the true Hell's Angels, although Hell's Angels are so strictly watched by LEOs now, they are basically an underground mafia on bikes. If someone knows more than me, I'm fine with that, just want to know whatever it is that I don't know.

In Las Vegas, the 4 largest OMGs are Bandidos, HA, Mongols, and Vagos. Other local chapters: Gents, Green Machine, Red Devils, Skoners, Pirates, and Tribe.
This is according to the LVMPD Criminal Intel Section.
And I've seen members of most of these on the road.
