Harley has changed the battery tender. The new one weighs 1/3 of what the old one did. The outside case looks about the same, but the insides are totaly different. If you have the old style, keep it. I'm not having good results with the new one.

I have an old TV that weighs a ton, the new ones they are selling now are 1/4 the weight of the old one. The old one must be better because it is heavier...right?
Not having good results? Why don`t you just tell us what is wrong with it?
If you are buying a battery tender from a Harley dealer, you are paying a premium price just because it comes from a Harley dealer.
You can buy them at Wal Mart, K Mart, Napa, Autozone etc...

Yup, a buddy was telling me his likes his new helmet, a "Harley Davidson helmet". I asked him...."cool do you know who what makes it?" he replied, "Harley" makes it. I just said...oh ok. Figured I wouldn't disappoint him by telling him HD doesn't make helmets, or oil, or batteries, or boots, or clothes, or battery tenders for that matter.

I know a guy that's the same way....He only buys "Genuine Harley-Davidson" jackets, boots, oil, parts and so on.
He actually seems to think that the MoCo makes all of this stuff.
Good marketing on Harley's part I suppose, they actually have all of these idiots believing that the cheap junk with the "Genuine Harley-Davidson" label is worth the extra money that they charge for it.
Have you considered taking it back if it's not working? I'm pretty sure it has a warranty.
Or as others have implied, are you just upset because it's not as heavy as it once was.
