The problem with the wedge in my year is the stand mount is part of the floorboard.
When you shim the stand you are changing the angle of the floorboard which I think someone else mentioned as well.
This is why I had to go this route. As I said, when stand is retracted, you don't see it. When down, you don't even see it or pay attention to it.
It really does work well.

Twizted- they're not rare for lowered bikes, but I had a tough time finding one for raised bikes. In fact I don't think I've ever seen another one since I got mine. It's been a long time since I installed it, so I don't know the answer to this, but I wonder if they could be flipped and drilled to work without making them into swiss cheese?
