Yep, my Superglide does not have ABS.
Just trying to make it clear it's not us who want ABS on our bikes. It's MOCO corporate attorneys, IIHS, insurance companies, personal injury attorneys, Obamacare and NHTSA who want you to have ABS on your bike.

Now that is a pile of crap, one mouth spouting that ABS is being driven by bureaucracy and another is stating that if the module fails the braking system comes up lame.

ABS came about just like all other technological advances, it's in use just like flat screen displays and blu-ray players, it's in use cause it's better. It provides superior braking at all times to all riders, experienced or otherwise.

To say there is no warning, I beg to disagree, the module is a self checking module whereby signals between the pickup and the module are constantly being sent, if the module doesn't get a signal, or the module doesn't report to the BCM then a warning light starts to flash, if the issue persists then the light goes on solid. The module will not impair manual braking effort, it only enhances braking effort, the fluid passage through the module is normally open and the module is design to fail open, so it doesn't restrict braking during a failure.....

Like, any legal, safety organization or government entity would allow a manufacturer to install a system which during a failure mode would render the braking system completely non-functional, really now that is understanding. Unplug the fuse to the module if you don't want ABS, heck add a switch to turn it on or off.

It's not us that want it? Speak for yourself and not for everyone else. You ain't us. There are plenty of us that do want it and are more than happy it's there. If you think the attorneys, the government, and insurance companies are the only ones that want it, you are very uninformed. I imagine you want drum brakes on your car to and think the only reason we have disk brakes is because the attorneys, government and insurance companies want it.

AFAIK, the first manufacturer to offer ABS on motorcycles was BMW on their 1984 K bikes, and no government entity forced them to do it. Their GS bikes have an ON/OFF switch for the ABS.

Fair enough, but the government in Europe has mandated all motorcycles sold in Europe after 2016 must have ABS. The government doesn't think you are a good enough rider without abs. How long do you think it will be before our government mandates abs on motorcycles? Our government has already mandated abs in cars. Your choice ride without it has been taken away. Why is our government deciding for you or me that we aren't good enough to ride unless we have abs?
