My GF rides a 2009 Softail Deluxe. She loves the bike and has it set up just where she wants it. Its a great bike for her and we tour frequently together me on my StreetGlide. I have ABS on the StreetGlide and will never own another motorcycle without it. I like it so much that I really wish my GF's Deluxe had it. Well now the new ones do. Dont know if this is new for 2015 or not but suspect it is.
Who has a Softail with the new ABS? How do you like it? Can you compare to a touring bike you might have also ridden or ride now. I know the MoCo has made some big moves in the braking area over the past few years. Brembo brakes, more pistons, ABS on the touring line, linked braking on the touring models, and now the Softails with ABS.
Dont know if we would trade Lola in on a new 2015 just for ABS but I am sure tempted.
For '15 Softails have an improved front brake with four-piston caliper, 300 mm. rotor and an improved master cylinder which reduces lever effort. Details are on the MOCO website.
yeah, my buddy's new Tahoe has a "vibrator" when you get near the edge of the road.
Also has a flashing light on the mirror to tell you if a object is in it ..
Nanny, nanny, guess we don't have to have any skill to drive
How did we survive without ABS ??

I believe 2012 was the year they first introduced ABS brakes for the softails. I have ABS on both my softails which are 2012 and 2013 softails. Prior to owning the softails I had a 2011 ultra limited which of course had Brembo ABS brakes standard. In comparison my 2013 are not as grippy but it doesn't pulse as much on imperfections on the road. It works great just not as hard stopping as the Brembos on the tourers. The 2015 brakes however have better brakes than any of the previous year softails.
you are correct , you cant save everyone , sometime they have to save themselves.
Google has a cure for that, the riderless motorcycle. Enjoy motorcycling without the danger.
Future Harleys will be "ridden" from your living room and a joystick. Just like a drone.
