I installed drag pipes a few weeks ago. They have removable baffles that areheld in by 1 set screw. Within 2 days my bike blew out the glass packing. No big deal. I didn't like that crap anyway. The baffles are cheap and I'm assuming they were made to be taken out and tossed. Anyway, I do need them to pass inspection next year. They are making a high pitched squeeking noise that's driving me nuts. Should I take them out and put up with slightly louder pipes until the next inspection? Is there anyone that makes better baffles that I can replace them?(non glass pack). Just need alittle input. The pipes are fine, just the baffles suck.
I put Khrome Werks HP drag pipe baffles in mine. They are sold in the same section of the J&P catalog as the former posted baffles.
They are all metal,no fiberglass and 9" long.On a ratingof 1 to 10, 10 being the loudest, stock HD exhaust rates a 6, mine without baffles a 10 with the baffles 8.5.
