Do not sell the TC's short. Like any HD they do not show up in salvage yards. All wrecks get sold.

Any Vrod

I already collect them and I know of a few others. Have no interest in any other HD prior to the mid 80's.

The oldest in my collection of 20 H-D's is a 89 FXRS, 87 Heritage Springer and a 2000 Deuce show bike then a 2003 883R then the rest are several examples of all the H-D families.

Most don't understand the collector will change with the years also. Collectors always go for what the wanted when they were young. So as the years go by the 30 to 40 year old bike will be the one sought after. The shovels, knuckles and pans don't even mean a thing to me. Also the population will be half again as today so the fewer surviver bikes will have a larger pool of buyers.

In my day a mid 50's two door post chevy Biscayne was a piece of crap. Now it's at car shows. The same will happen to TC's
Sorry but those Shovels, Pans and Knuckles you loathe will always be worth several times the value of any of the bikes you have mentioned

I agree I like the 100th 03 bikes but a lot were produced. I owned a black/silver WG, IMHO the black/silver was my favorite color combo of the 03s. I do see 03 pop up for sale pretty often and they are bringing no more $$ than normal. People often thing they will demand a premium and price them high but they are not selling at those prices

No "fuel injection era" bike will appreciate in value in your lifetime.

A few times I've been offered more for my Springer than I paid for it. Don't know if the dudes were really interested or just throwing out a number.

Anyway,Heritage Springers definitely command a premium over a regular Heritage of the same year and condition.

The FX Springers have already appreciated. Look for the XR1200X and the FXDX and FXDXT to do the same.

But CVOs? Nope. Nothing special about them, and nothing rare about them. A CVO will sell for more than a non-CVO, but when you look at the ridiculous premium you pay up front....

The 2012 FLHTCUSE7 I had went for $38,000 new. I bought it in 2013 for $32,000. Traded it in 13 months later for $29,000. It sold to the new owner 9 months later for $25,000 or so. Think that bike's ever going to be worth more than it was then?

There was a video going around a few months ago about some guy in Vegas who was pretty much doing exactly that. He has all kinds of late model HD's in his collection. He made a point of showing how original and un-used they are. Some still had dealer showroom hang tags on them, which he took as a particularly cool thing.

That's all well and good. Dude's got money. It's his business how he spends it. But the person who will see that collection achieve any real value won't be born for another 50 years.

And by then the motorcycle world will likely be very different...
