Can't imagine what it would be. The production numbers for all of the bikes are high.
Honestly,it is the ones that no one wants at the time. XLCR...flop but highly collectable. So dare I say...a Street if it flops? I doubt it but who knows?
When you think of truly desirable bikes like knuckles and pans think not only of age but also the production numbers were much less so survivors are a bit rare.
The other thing is there aren't and haven't been many major changes in a long, long time...think Electra Glide or Hydra or Duo. Yea, there are some engines changes but nothing too exciting to me.
But the very nature of collectability is no one has a clue until it happens. If I had loads of cash I would be buying up some of the clean and well priced Shovels I am seeing on the Market.
Whatever model it is, try to find one totally 100% factory original (no modifications at all). Guaranteed that'll be a truly rare bike if you wait long enough
Good thought. They do seem to be a bit rarer. What bugs me is the fact that they were a throw back to an earlier bike, a copy if you will. I don't know if that will hurt value or not. Collecting guns I have seen some beautiful copies but they aren't worth spit compared to the real deal.
I just don't see anything from the Evo era forward achieving high collectable status for a very, very long time. There are just too many of them out there.
Be years before the twin cams have anything collectable, Not going to bring more then what was paid for years , maybe 30 years from now they maybe go up in price but I wouldn't count on it as an investment.

This and twinkies in particular as they are the most common bike out there besides the the rocket kiddie style bikes, can't throw a dead cat and not hit a twin cam bagger around here. We're talking several decades at least. Some evo models are on the rise but just a few and the popularity for those will drop as next big " thing " comes along.
