Help find Larry Weaver
But material ****? Man, it ain't worth it. I have a good job and good life and yeah, I pay good money for my stuff. But there's not one thing I can think of I own that's worth getting killed or killing someone over and spending time in the court or jail asserting my innocence. I value my freedom and my life way more than a bike that I can just go replace with numerous identical copies of. I guess if that makes me a sheep, so be it, but I don't think it does.
I just hope for Larry's sake that they finished the job before they dumped him at least.
And maybe just one of the bad asses here who want to smoke these scum bags (don't we all?) with their 9 mm for stealing our bikes, cars, or whatever property we have being screwed with and stolen in in an open area or in a public place-don't do it! Screw that!
They ain't robbing you in your home, attacking you family, or deliberately trying to inflict harm on you.
The law aint on your side, and if you value you're freedom, just call 911, write down a plate, or description or these losers and call your insurance company.
You go down there, guns blazing or waving a firearm and then shooting them...
You have just escalated a property theft to a murder-
And YOU are going to prison-
Or having everything you have worked for taken away from you in legal proceedings-for what???
A nice Harley that you have insurance on???
WTF?
Des anyone here really thing these low life's first wanted to steal this bike, then said, "oh yeah, let's go smoke Ol' Larry in his room too...."
Bullshit....
Larry heard or saw this going down from his room, ran out, and get mixed up in a situation he couldn't get out of....
I just passed through there a couple weeks ago as well as his home town in KS. I'd encourage everyone to learn and understand the FOPA laws as well as the firearms laws of the states that they are passing through.
At some point his life was threatened and ultimately taken and if he were armed it may have made a difference.
RIP and the killers be dammed.
My thoughts are with Larry's family. The only guarantee we get is that this life will end. I hope Larry had a good life, loved, and was loved. It's always too short our time with loved ones. Make the most of it while you can. Hug someone close and tell them.
Larry and I were riding together with a bunch of friends early last month. Could not know a nicer guy.
Still digesting it. So sad, such a waste.
A couple of pics of Larry from just a month ago...

And here's a photo of him thoroughly enjoying the ride.

It makes me sick to my stomach knowing this was the outcome. I will continue to say a prayer for the Weaver family. Ride On Mr. Weaver.

Sincere condolences to Larry's family and friends. Tragic.

His wife is having a small funeral, but asked if we could get together next spring and do a memorial ride for him in East TN, and give her some photos of his favorite places.
I will ask the group if they want to open it to others.
Still reeling from this. It wasn't a month ago that I was sitting with him talking about retirement and what all his plans were.
