Sounds like a really nice guy. My condolences to his family and friends.

I keep reading this story here and on ADV and man it just rocks me. I'm a solo traveler, really always have been. The one guy that rode the same way I do hung it up quite a few years ago.
I didn't know Larry Weaver, but the couple of pics that have been posted show he was out there doing exactly the same thing we all do and looked to be having a heck of a lot of fun while he did it.
Just the senselessness of this whole deal kind of shakes me. I'm just so freakin' bummed about this story. We've all been there, closing in on the end of a ride, just turning miles on the way home, know you won't make it much farther today and decide to catch some sleep anywhere. Hell, it doesn't have to be the Ritz, it's just me right?
Grab some crap food nearby, a shower and crawl into those crummy industrial sheets for some sleep....yeah, I'll get home tomorrow...
I hope he can rest in peace knowing they've caught the criminals that murdered him, and folks from all over followed the story, we're rooting for him, and above all are truly moved and saddened by his senseless murder.
My prayers and condolences go out to his Widow and his Family for their loss .

On the topic - getting a few shares on my FB acct. I posted on the Wisconsin Rider page and hopefully that will get the word around these parts. Hoping for the best.
Either way very sad news
RIP Larry
