Kevin, This thread really makes me heartsick. I was on the road with my TGU at the same time as you, Mary, Larry and some other friends got together while going from Florida to Washington state and back along the Northern tier. I was reading about your get together with Larry and others as I was sleeping in a few sketchy motels along the route. The stories at the end of my long riding days were making me smile. RIP for Larry and hoping that his family can get some peace. Bob
Talking about what happened can help others. It's not done out of any disrespect to anyone.
I for one know that this story will stick with me. I will carry the lessons and discussions here into my own life. And I am sure I'm not alone. This thread is potentially saving lives.
Hello everybody. A friend of Larry's posted up a thread on the Advrider forum when Larry first went missing. It has garnered a lot of attention and folks are heartsick over the whole thing. Is anybody here in touch with the family? I know there is interest over on Advrider for helping the family in any way possible - money (gofundme?) or other support.
Be we riders of BMWs, KTMs, or HDs, we are all fellow travelers and often out solo, so Larry's story strikes close to home.
RIP Larry, and condolences to his manny friends on this forum. I joined up here just to post this, as Larry is heavy on my heart.
And, FWIW, this is not the only forum where all threads become gun threads.
Out of respect and focus maybe the analysis ought to take place elsewhere. I agree. But the study of what happened is itself also important, wherever it takes place.
I know I take the lesson that Larry has given us to heart and I thank his spirit for it!
again, RIP Larry
I have started a separate thread if folks care to take discussions to it and leave this thread to expressing our remorse and respect for a fallen brother.

Some people just don't have enough common sense, respect or decency, to realize there's a time and place for everything. And this thread isn't the time or place, to criticize someone (or their speculated actions), that they didn't even know.
And then they come back and want to defend or justify it. WTF. No body here (at leaset right now) needs a damn history, or philosophy lesson.
Thank you to all who knew this man and let us meet him through your words and pictures.
As one who only recently found this forum and met you all through your postings and shared experiences, I feel fortunate to be part of such a great group of friendly riders.
