I started to read this tread again tonite. I have heard many times a man dies twice. Once when he passes and wen his name is spoken the last time. I believe Larry will be remembered for the great guy he was for a long time.
Ride On Larry
Yep .. I referenced Larry today in another thread :>(
I saw it. That was what got me started again. It has been a quiet thoughtful evening. Larry was a man rich in friends. I only have two things on my bike and one is Larry's sticker.
Larry was a friend of mine, super guy. Slim build and a soft voice. We were all shocked when he was killed.
I have " ride on Larry Weaver" stickers if anyone wants some. PM your address I will mail them out to you.
Larry must be near today.....I don't sign into forums much anymore, I have not been here in some time. I come here and find this thread.....earlier today, I pulled one of Larry's neckerchiefs from my dresser drawer and reflected on our time together in Townsend, TN, days before he was taken. The Thursday before, he, me and my wife spent the day together, exploring the Parkway, Dragon, Cherohala Skyway. He lead me through the Dragon for my first time. Ozzy would ride like a runaway freight train on rails and, I kept up on my Limited without face planting into a tree, LOL. Larry, I miss you my friend. And yes, I still have my old Deuce too.
Actually That is exactly what happens when people come to Christ. That old person dies! And a whole new person rises up. And the change begins, habits change, thoughts change, desires change. The truth of the matter is, that all of us, even you and I are not victims, we are victimizers, We're part of the problem of evil in the world. We are not a good people, that occasionally does bad things. We are bad people that occasionally do good things. I suspect you've broken moral laws before, and so have I And many times if you're like me. and we've gotten away with a bunch of them, I'd bet also. Did you just think that its all behind you? You skated? Scott free? Really? Somebody will have to one day pay the price for all those times, and I don't mean the consequences of them, I mean the penalty of them. As far as them being sociopaths, you and I don't know that at all. Broken? You bet!! Make you angry? Absolutely! But the fact is, its all Sin! His, mine, yours, Sedition, rebellion, pride, Its a common thing to stop looking at wrongs, just as the hand stops over our head, Somebody else is always worse that me, but thats the point, you are worse, than someone else, in their eyes. Nobody stands before the Lord innocently, so how is it that we want to condemn others to hell, when all deserve it? "there is none righteous, no not one." But there is a way out!!! Forgiveness, my friend, is the only answer for us, and to others, yes even the bad ones, but we're all bad so...
What an offensive post...Please keep the proselytizing off the forums.
