It's not so much about fear as making wise decisions.

Anyway, I digress. This was a terrible outcome to the situation. I hope the perps get the chair or the needle.

First, my condolences to all his friends and family.
This wasn't some slum neighborhood like it would seem by some of these posts. I pass through this area often, in fact I was there this last Friday night and stayed a few minutes up the road in Charleston at a hotel with my wife.

If you look on google street view maps at the Days Inn there is nothing about it that would set off alarms in your head if you travel much. There is a Holiday Inn behind it, a Sonic Drive-Inn on one side and the main roads on the other two sides. There is a Colton Steakhouse at the back corner and an Applebee's within sight. This is the kind of place I look for when traveling.

Just like anyplace there is bad areas you want to avoid but I've never considered this one of them. It is terrible what happened but a random crime of opportunity can happen anywhere.

A pic posted over on ADV -

As I said over there - this man lived more life in these moments than those pos's that took his life will in 3 lifetimes. Be happy for the good times. Learn from the bad ones. But keep on keepin on. Don't let it change you.

I've been holding judgement till the facts came out on this incredibly sad story but after watching this Ronnie Carl Robinson Sr. being escorted into court by a court officer he is no doubt the worst type of scum on the earth. This guy on the TV video clip acts like he is a victim not a murder suspect. Hope no plea agreement is accepted by the judge that hears this case. Put this guy away and leave him there. Something tells me karma is not working in his favor.

Well, many disagreements on all aspects of this, except one. We all realize that we have lost a really great person, who was doing what we all love to do. I have followed this thread, and its so sad. many here knew him, and we all can identify with this very situation. But, we cannot change what has happened, and we have no sayso in what is going to happen to the people responsible for it. In fact, we have hurt one another from time to time, kinda yelling at each other, installing scenarios, that we don't have any facts for. And while I did not know Larry, I would bet he wouldn't want all this anger flying around. Just my take on the man from what has been said of him.

What I do know, is that we live in a fallen world, and its unfair, and its not the way it was meant to be. We all want justice, for Larry, and for all those injustices that come about from day to day. And it seems that it just doesn't happen, or not fast enough, or as severe as we might like it to be. And that is bringing out the worst in most of us. I know so many of you from here, and you are wonderful people, and like me, most of us have passed on our violent era, (for the most part, anyways!)
But how about we start to use that energy in a positive manor, make a difference FOR Larry's memory, Some have mentioned the decal thing, others have made mention in their sig at the bottom. I like that.
But how about something more enduring, something that can honor him, in our hearts. Helping his wife know how much he meant to everybody is one way, I know some have done this very thing.

In this fallen world, these things happen, We mourn, we get angry, but what is a solution to the evil, that this world has to offer? We all, as humans have to deal with it, and one possible answer is God. And in trusting that there will come a time that all things will be made right. Many have called for these people to be sent to hell, and yet many here don't know if they are going there, as well. How ironic, to run into that person, in hell, guess both missed the boat.
In the long run, what I am trying to say, is leave the matter of justice, in the hands of the one who, is the author of justice, and lets start treating each other with more compassion, and less anger, and be examples of who Larry would want us to be, and less of what satan would want us to be.
If anybody has a need for a very spiritual side of all this, I would be glad to share on a PM, I know many here don't want to hear all that, and its ok. Just don't make your hearts get as dark as the persons who took Larry from us in the first place. Thats All I got.

Taking the life of another human being...I just can't comprehend it. I don't think I could live with that on my conscience. To kill an innocent man in such a brutal way is shocking, even if commonplace, sadly.

God bless Mr. Weaver's family & friends.

I would hope folks will show up to all court proceedings to keep pressure on the authorities not to plea this case down and support the family. Here on long island,Abate is actively involved in any court and proceedings and strong showing keeps the courts on their toes. And you know these pos will have support in the courtroom. If you live in the area, try and be there.
