I use Mobil1 v-twin 20/50 in engine every 5k or sooner. I go by hours run not miles. Stop and go around town is much harder and hotter on engine. I can get it at Walmart and local auto parts. K&N filter I get from Amazon.
I put expensive Redline in primary and transmission. Honestly can't tell difference over standard Harley formula.l except wallet is lighter.
Have a friend show you how the first time. After that you can do it yourself. Maybe take to dealer every 20,000 miles for full inspection. But every 5,000 do it yourself. Buy an inexpensive lift or scissor jack and oil filter wrench that's all you need. If you use K&N filter you don't even need filter wrench. Just socket.
