1 year ago had to weld my heat shield back onto my clamp tabs on the right side and this year lost my complete fishtail on the left side while taking a corner. My wife was behind me so lucky it didn't fall off at highway speeds. Talked to the V&H rep at Sturgis, his response was, go buy new Fishtail shields. Never will see V&H on my bikes again.
I have had many many exhausts pipes crack and fail. My VH power duals cracked where they meet, my thunderheader pipes have cracked on the bracket that holds the back of the pipe. I now buy pipes based on the company with the best customer service. I love my new fuel moto road and track 2 into 1 and they have the best customer service. I got VH to replace my last pipe but it was a nightmare trying to get that done.
All three bikes in my garage have V&H on them, as well as the FB I just got rid of in December. No issues at all. I actually broke a clamp on the install on my CVO and drove up to their place in OC. They handed my a complete new hardware kit for free. Sorry to hear about your problems.

I had "Longshots" on my '05 Fatboy for 10 years and now "Power duals" on my '15 Ultra. Never any issues.
Well I have a Pro Pipe HO that after 2 seasons developed a crack at the support bracket that holds it to the trans , A call to them buy another one ! This one now is redesigned and as I read in these forums they have had problems with the support bracket . Not too impressed with the life span of this hardware , hopefully this new one will last more than 2 seasons .
