Used Harley Davidson
I don't own a Harley yet but in the process of buying one.
My question I have is. Are there any major changes since around 2012 on the Motorcycles other than body style. reason for asking is ,not sure if I want to buy new or used.
Thank you

Your answer changes the outcome as Harley does not upgrade every bike at the same time....
This is the right time of year to buy. The market is absolute ***** right now. You can drive a hard bargain.
If you decide to go used, look for originality first and foremost. That is everything. If you don't know what you are looking at, find someone who does.

A little be more info into what Model bike or at least what family (Dyna, Softail, Touring) you are looking for may help others give you a little more specific info.
The Twin Cam 103 engine became standard in 2012 I believe and replaced the 96 engine from previous years. However the Dyna Street Bob and Super Glide Custom I dont think got the 103 engine in 2012
If you are looking at Touring bikes The Rushmore project was released in most of the touring bikes in 2014 which gave significant upgrades to the touring bikes. I think the only exception was the Road Glide which was out of the lineup in 2014 and reintroduced in 2015 with the Rushmore treatment.
As far as new vs a 2012 or later used bike it all boils down to $$$ IMHO. If you compare the same model from 2012 to 2016 for the most part both are going to be just as capable and give you just as much pleasure. Obviously a new bike will give you the pride of being the only owner if that is important to you. You will be sure of what has been done to it mechanically, there will be no dings or scratches and you will have a full warranty.
On the other hand there is a ton of used bikes on the market and with a little diligence in the search you can likely find a 2012 or later with very low miles in showroom condition and save a good bit of money.
There are plenty of folks that buy a new HD because there friends did or because they think they want to ride only to find out a couple of years later it spends the majority of its time in the garage and they are looking to sell it with very few mile

Yep, it depends on what model you're looking at. You could open up the can o' worms and ask everyone what HD you should buy if you REALLY want to see some posts! LOL!!
For what it's worth, both of my bikes are '13 models. The bagger (Street Glide) was purchased just a few months before they came out with the Rushmore bikes for '14. There are some significant changes to the new bike, but not substantial enough to make me trade mine off. All depends on how you're gonna ride, what bike you like, and what your budget looks like.
I'm a firm believer in buying the newest bike you can comfortably afford (emphasis on 'comfortably') - that way you'll get the newest technology and safety and comfort features. Or the biggest motor. Or whatever you're looking for.
And even though new bikes are nice, there are an assload of really nice garage queens out there. It pays to be patient. Good luck...
