OK, a basic question. Are these new 107 and 114 engines only for the Touring models? In other words, are the Dynas and Softtails going to keep the same engines as 2015-2016?
Just curious because I personally do not want to own a touring model now or very likely in the future.
Plainly states on Harley's website what engine is in each bike, but the short answer is the Milwaukee 8 is only in the touring models and trikes for the 2017 model year.
Most people believe it wil be in other models in a year or two based on what Harley has done in the past but no concrete evidence to support that assumption at this time.

Thanks for the info. That's what I thought. I suppose you are likely right that the other models will get the new engines in future years. By then we will know if there are any issues, and likely any issues will have been corrected.
The real issue is your under 40 and schooled with the "No Child Left Behind Act". You don't want to look or learn for yourself,
You just want the answer.
If you retain the information, you will now tell it to others using authority because you got it right on the test.
The ones that the mothership isn't dropping at least and yes there's a few models that won't be back or are going to be phased out in 2017 like the Vrod and couple of the softtail and dyna models also.
