I know for sure the older (now 67) I get, the less it is..

on the last several trips I've taken,, when you count the **** stops, picture stops, gas and stretch stops, its around 350 average for a full days ride..

On multi-day trips with a group, I plan on 400-450 mile days. By myself, 600 mile days.

Over multi-day trips with a group or alone, some days will go over, and some will go under those benchmarks, but by the end of the trip, it always seems to end up here.

When planning out a long trip, I've also found that using 50 mph as the assumed speed for however many hours I plan to ride, also seems to end up pretty close. Despited rolling in excess of 50mph when moving, 50 seems to compensate for gas/rest stops, meals and traffic, and does a good job of predicting how far I can comfortably travel in "X" amount of hours each day.

Depends on the road, the weather, what I need to accomplish. Traveling for work short time schedule just gotta get there highway mileage 600-800 a day. Secondary and scenic roads just riding 300 to 400 a day. If playing tourist stopping at attractions like distilleries, caves, etc 300 is usually about it.

Same for me, 250-300 on a nice scenic road like the PCH usually involves stops for photos, etc, but I'll do 700-800 on the interstate when I need to cover some ground. I've done 1,000+ mile days, but the last couple hundred miles stop being fun.

In my 30's and 40's, I could do 600 easy. Now I'm almost 60 and 300 is my limit.

Truthfully, it depends on my mood and where I am at as to how far I feel like riding for that day.

My max in one day was 800 miles riding solo. The wife and I have done 660 together but it kills us at our age. If actually traveling and having to make time we will push it from daylight to dark but prefer 350 to 400 max.

I normally ride around 300 miles in a day.
Usually the wife is with me and we are never in a hurry.
We will stop every few hours, see the sights and just enjoy the ride.
We had a 380 mile day last year and that was one of our longest.

For me, I don't focus on the milage for multiple day trips. I ride from sun up to about 5pm taking my time for the scenery along a planned routes. For most single day trips or excursions, I usually average 250 - 300 a day. Keeping a log/journal brings back the trips memories.

11 years ago I did a trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to see my brother. I left on Monday and rode to Idaho Falls, about 550 miles. Next, I rode to Havre, MT also about 550 miles.Third day on to Rugby, ND, day four Superior, WI. On Friday about 3pm I arrived in Manistique. About 2200 miles if I remember correctly. Then, I started visiting family from there to Rogers City, MI, Dayton, OH, and Lancaster Ohio.

Then I boogied home from Lancaster, traveling precisely 2100 miles door to door, arriving home at 5 pm on day four. I guess you could say I average about 500-550 miles per day of highway travel. There isn't anything like traveling alone, burning the miles, sampling local culture and food, and on your own schedule.
