Average day ride 200-350. Most ever in one day was about 750 mostly on secondary roads. That was about 100 more than my old *** wanted! Besides, you can only sing....BORN TO BE WILD.. So many times!!

Really a two part answer. the first day or two can be mostly super slab so we can get to the fun stuff. try not to push over 500 per day. after that it may be 100 miles or 300. kinda depends on what were doing

Read quite a few of the posts and everyone is pretty much the same relevant to road, weather, and or destination driving. Last year we drove the Blue Ridge Pkwy. and Skyline Drive. Total miles driven is 574 miles. This took us three days and we were pushing it. Completely wiped out at each days end. That same mileage we could do in a day if going by interstate. Weather I find is the big factor in how far I ride. If it's raining, I'm happy to just do 200 or 300. The interstate will always to get from point a to point b with as few disruptions as possible. Backroad riding is not putting a distance limit on it. Depending on the road and sights, it could be a 100 mile day,,,

Wife and I usually do 400 to 500 when we need to push it.
We did a 1000 mile day once in under 12 hours across Canada. I later found out that was an Iron Butt run, pfffft that was easy I thought to myself. People actually register for that?

Like the others said, on back roads seeing the sites, we may do 250-300 depending on the number of stops. But on the interstate trying to get somewhere usually around 500. We did 650 in a day once and we both swore we'd never do it again. On the past few trips, we've just stopped when we felt like it was time, usually later in the afternoon, since we had to schedule or pre-planned stops.

300, maybe 400 if comfortable, stop and smell the roses is my mantra. If you're into riding coast to coast thats cool, but for me it's the ride I like to enjoy without killing myself or more important my wife.
I the words of Forrest Gump, "When I got tired, I slept. When I got hungry, I ate. When I had to go, you know, I went."

Not trying to hijack the thread, I think this question could kind of parallel the OP's question. Does anyone else experience "off days"? By that I mean some days you get on the bike and can comfortably go for 100's of miles and others where you just can't seem to get comfortable in the saddle no matter what you do?

Sometimes I'm more excited to get somewhere and that means more miles, weather permitting. Poor weather kill the desire.

Pretty sure that happens to everyone. Just like there are days, I don't even think about taking a ride.

I am just hoping that 300-350 a day allows us to still enjoy the sites, I am guess the 9 day trip to be 2500-3000. Wisconsin to Maine via Canada and back through Niagara Falls and Michigan

Riding for pleasure? 2-300 miles is a great Saturday ride.

Trying to get somewhere? 4-500 mile days back to back are sustainable for as long as they need to be. The 2014 trip in my sig was just over 9,000 miles in 21 days, with 15 other guys. About 450 miles per day on average.

The trick for me seems to be ride 2-3 hours (120-180 miles), and when we stop for gas, take 15-20 minutes to have a smoke, stretch the legs, drink some water, pee, etc. Three of those cycles will run about 9 hours and average the 450 miles.

I've done a couple of iron butts where the gas stops are just long enough to fill one tank and drain the other, and light a smoke on the way out of the station. Do-able, but not as much fun.

The best days are when I can ride from full to empty without putting my feet down except at the occasional stop sign.
