I just installed a new aftermarket day-maker headlight in my breakout and if works fine except that it is generating a fault code of 62136 which is low beam open. Tried clearing but couldn't. Took it to Harley and they were able to clear it with service technician but it comes right back. They said they have sen this happen with aftermarket headlights and there is nothing they can do about it. Has anyone else experienced this?
Sounds like you need a load balancer. The computer is looking for a certain amount of current to be drawn from the light but since you are using LED's it is not seeing it so it shows as an "open". I've heard of people adding a resistor in series with the light to eliminate the problem. You may want to Google it.
Isn't there a procedure you do for the computer to relearn it's new load?
On the newer models (touring bikes for sure, not sure about others) you hit the hazards to let them run after switching them to LED so that it senses them and you don't get a weird flashing rate. Never heard of anything pertaining to headlights.

Just a point on one of the previous comments. If you try the resistor trick (I would find the proper solution first if available) it would need to go in parallel with the light to increase current draw.
My last Road Glide I bought a Daymaker and loved it. Latest Road Glide I bought an aftermarket bright light called a Halo. The light is awesome but I get nasty radio interference to the point all I can use is my iPod. As luck would have it the head unit crapped out and replaced under warranty. Different antennas same issue. Guess it is the aftermarket stuff and not being willing to pay HD prices.
Conversely I have Truck Lite lights on my Road King but no stereo so cannot attest to an issue with interference. I would be curious if one exists with TL or other top companies such as Custom Dynamic... I heard some years ago that CD would be coming out with lights for the Road Glide. Need to look into that.
