This does not feel like bare metal. It's dull I believe it was shiny when it was bare metal. So hopefully there is some finish on it to protect it from rust where that line is.
That is the beginning of the muffler and that's the muffler clamp. That gray line wasn't there when I installed it. I don't know what's happening to the cerakote.
Shouldn't be. Haven't used anything on them except wd 40 to put them on the bike and that was a long time ago. This just showed up after my 2 hour ride the other day. The exhaust is mounted by that clamp and at the end of the muffler it's held on by 2 bolts to a exhaust bracket. So it's pretty secure.
