Well their misdiagnosis of the clutch plates should mean "wear parts" are no longer the cause and all of this is going to be through warranty and free for you. Hopefully they fix the bike so you can enjoy it.

Don't think your attorney is going to solve much except cost you money and get everyone to back away from you and your bike which will make it a very expensive paper weight if it's not in running shape.

I will say that the MOCO stood by me when my engine blew up. If your dealership thinks there is now a serious problem I think you can trust the MOCO to fix it under warranty.

I sure hope so. I’m really hoping it’s minor. I will hopefully know tomorrow

I had a similar experience to you after my bike was backed into and pushed up a curb. I had the bike towed to the dealer and had them fix it.

I know it's frustrating to say the least but Harley has taken care of me every time. Even got a brand new engine at 58k miles. Just keep a calm demeanor especially when talking with the dealer, you will get much further if you aren't yelling.

I would assume that they will want to split the cases to see if it is something internal that's making the noise. Good luck and keep us posted.

I truly hope they aren't going to have to teardown the engine. This sucks! It's my first Harley and I was looking forward to a great experience and now I have nothing but doubts about its reliability. I just want the bike back so I can trade it in on another bike from another manufacturer. I realize s**t happens, but I don't want to worry that it's going to breakdown every time I take it out for a ride.
An engine noise that continues after replacing the clutch plates sounds like a warranty issue. That engine noise may have been what prematurely damaged the clutch.

That’s what I’m thinking. When the dealer gets back to me I should know if I need to call HD again with the info in hopes the clutch will be replaced under warranty along with whatever they find.

Clutch plates don't wear out under normal wear and tear after 2,500 miles! I am pissed enough to sell the ****ing thing and go back to Japanese or German bikes.
Your bike was involved in a wreck. Make sure the wreck didn't cause any of these issues before bashing Harley.

Also, it's better to have a dealer actively trying to solve things than the other kind where they just say "seems normal to me" and wait for a catastrophic failure. Either kind can be right or wrong. I prefer the busy bodies though as a rule.
