Long time rider, never owned a HD. Just sold my nomad 1600 and I'm ready to join the HD family.
I am stuck between an ultra limited 2015 and street glide special 2016. I find the ug high for my legs,, but the shop is willing to swap out the 4" suspension for a 3" for free. The ug has so many options on it and it's around the same price. 21" front wheel, mustang seat, v&h pipes, headed grips.
Just missing the tour pack (which I don't care much for anyway). The ug has 7k on it, the sgs has 30k.
Would putting the 3"suspension on make the ride a lot rougher?
I really like the color of the sgs and the look, but I'm finding it hard to justify not taking the bike with lower mileage and nearly $5000 of options.
Sgs is as always has been my dream bike, but I'm really considering the UGL here. Please help!!
So, whats the deal with the tour pak? Is it priced accordingly for not having it? Personally i like the tour pak and even if i didnt id still rather have it just to have it just for convenience. I say flhtk all day. I cant stand a street glide. Too many people have them
I like the idea of leaving the 4" rear suspension and modding the seat to be lower. I didn't know that was possible. Its a mustang solo saddle on there, how does one mod that?
Yes it's priced right to be missing the tour pack. I shopped around.
Dropping the rear 1" and putting stretch bags on is another idea that I like. Would that pretty much get rid of the benefit of the ug comfort and ride exactly like the sgs, anyone experienced with this?
