Default Chain Tensioner
RE 2009 RG CVO. After only 25,000 miles I need to spend approx. $500.00 for the regular service and another $1,800.00 on the Chain? Is this normal?

No, what did they say was wrong with the primary chain? Okay, I'm assuming its the primary chain.

I’m guessing they are saying you need a compensator in that list of primary work.

If you are out of warranty and you can't do the work, why not find an indy shop to do the work? There is an automatic chain tensioner that's supposed to keep the chain properly tensioned. The compensator on the other hand, well.... Again ask an indy how much they would charge to replace the comp. (parts & labor).

O.P. probably got the $1800 quote to 'replace' the tensioners and such...b.
